Ariel's day out...

Hi, it's Ariel here.  Mom said it was my turn for a day out with her.
I can't wait to see where we are going!

It's an interesting place.  There are lots of plants to sniff and look at with vendors along the way with doggie treats, toys and things for the humans too.

I really liked this flower.

Mom liked these little shrubs in the planters.
So, she what she did next with me.

Yes, she tried to take a picture of me next to them.

But I didn't sit long enough for a good picture.
There were too many things to see and smell.

This stand had doggie treats.

I really wanted some of those treats on the plate.
Mom didn't get the next picture of me with my paws on the table because she was trying to get me off the table and not ruin the display, but they smelled really good to me.
Mom was good to me because she got me some to take home and try with my Sibe siblings.

This was lady's dog that had the yummy smelling treats.
I wanted to play with the big dog.

Mom said we had to move on, so we did.

I liked this little poodle guy.

I had to stop and say hi.

Mom told me grandma likes these little dogs.

So, I then had to stop for a water break.

Yes, I had to try both bowls just in case they came out with a new doggie flavored water.
Nope, no new flavors, just plain water.

And before we left mom was looking at something for me and I tugged on the leash to get her attention and I did.
This doggie looked like me!  A husky.
She reminded me of Lily Girl that we helped last summer(a year ago this weekend).
This girl was 16 years old.
Seeing this girl put a smile on mom's face.

So, here is everything I got today.
Yes, I made sure I bought enough to share.

Let's try these first mom.

They are making me hungry.

Boo and Chip had to get a close view of what we got for them.

Come on mom aren't we all cute!
These chocolate dipped bones were yummy!
(Don't worry its not real chocolate.)
If you want more info. on these treats go to:

The lollypups were great and from Flour City Barkery.
They came in chicken and beef flavors.
Mom picked up a info. packet of all the goodies the barkery has to order for us.
I can't wait to get more!
If you want more info. you can email the barkery at:

Nala wasn't sure what flavor she wanted.

Timber was hoping to get both.

Mom had to deliver Chip his.

Boo always has to sniff everything she gets before eating it.

And lastly, mom thought it was cute how Chip was holding his lollypup between his paws.

Remembering Lily Girl A Year Later...

A year ago I picked up "Girl" as the Livingston Animal Shelter called her, but I gave her the name Lily Girl since she loved to stop and sniff my lilies on our walks.
I really feel she needed someone who understood her and had the time and patience for her.
So many times shelter dogs are given up on because no one wants to take the time to help them rehab.  We have rehabbed foster puppies who got adopted to great homes and then we have worked very closely with Timber and Ariel who were fosters for us and who adopted our hearts forever.
I still think of Lily Girl often and miss her sweetness she shared with me.
I know she has crossed the bridge a year ago in Maine and I am sure she is running free and happy.

Today, I took Ariel to an area garden center who had a pet expo with vendors.  I was looking at one of the vendors items and Ariel tugged on the leash and I turned to see what she was looking at and it looked like it could have been Lily Girl's sister.
It amazes how it seems a husky can recognize their own kind.
The same masked face and dark jet black fur on the back.  I got a picture of Ariel sniffing her face, but unfortunately Ariel blocked her face out of the picture and all you can see is the body of the dog.  I asked the owners how old she was and she was 16!  Amazing!
As my husband said it might have been a litter mate to Lily Girl, you never know.
It was just so ironic to see a dog that resembled Lily Girl the same weekend we did a transport for her a year ago.
Maybe it was Lily Girl's way of saying hi to us.
We love you Lily Girl!
We shall meet again someday.
love,
Holly and the huskies
(I will do another post this weekend and share the picture of Ariel and the dog that resembled Lily Girl-stay tuned)

Here's Timber's Surprise!

Yes, a new bed!
He got a doggie Serta bed that is orthopedic and a pillowtop in one.
The fuzzy pad on top is from Purple Pebble.
It is for older dogs and helps whisk away moisture, smell etc.
The fuzzy pad also help with doggies in hospice care.  You can Google it and you will find out more on it.

Hmmm, it seems just right.

Smells new to me.

Is it really for me mom?

Thanks mommy and daddy!
It's just right for me.  I love it!

A long night...

Our Timber had another visit from the monster at 1:30am.
The seizure was about 5minutes long, but the after affects for him to completely come out of it lasted a half hour.  And a bit later he went to get a drink of water in the kitchen and fell.  He still wasn't completely ready to move. Daddy came to the rescue and lifted him back up.  It's so hard to see him go through it. And now they are coming closer together.  It was about every 6weeks. The last one was July 5th and then this one.
And so, mommy had to spoil him.  Stay tuned to see what special present he got today.
