Hoping for cooler weather...

Timber has his paws crossed in hopes of cooler weather soon.

It's been very humid here in the Finger Lake Region of NY for the past couple of days.

The huskies have been inside enjoying the a/c.

The huskies daddy last night was looking online at the Farmer's Almanac

for this winter and it said bitterly cold and snow filled for NY/New England areas.

The huskies are hoping that its right!

 



A nice end of the summer day outside...

Mommy took a little time out of her schedule today

to spend some time sitting outside with us

on her new Vera Bradley blanket.

She also got us Vera Bradley bandannas(really they are just napkins, but they work).

 

 Boo says: Get my good side ma.

 Ariel says: I am ready!

 

 Nala says: This is close as I get to the camera.

 

Chips says: Aren't I a cool looking dog? 

 Timber says: Got it ma?

I think Boo was trying to get everybody to look at the camera and Nala was agreeing with her.

Boo knows if she sits for a picture for ma, in return she gets a treat!

 

 Well, I think Boo almost got everybody to look at the camera.

 

 

Ariel and Chip seem to have given up.  Nala shut her eyes and at least

Boo is still looking and got Timber to join her this time.

 

And this is just the sweetest picture of Boo and Timber.

She has always been the most social to all the dogs here.

Someday I will have to share the photos of her and Timber when they got married at the

Canandaigua, NY Petco and their Sibe siblings were also in the wedding as well.



Tug-A-War

The game of tug-a-war the husky way.

Chip and Ariel play the game very well.

 

I think Ariel might win here?

 

 

Uh, oh Chip seems to have taken over the advantage of the game.

Let's see who really wins!

Chip's Antics...

I got home from work tonight and daddy told me to look

at my camera for a good laugh.

 

And this is what was on mommy's camera,

Chip lounging on the patio table.

Chip says he can stretch out more on the table

rather then the chairs.

Hopefully, we never come home to him on the dining room table.

He for sure makes me laugh.  He is such a happy puppy with

such a happy go lucky attitude.

 

A Sweet Moment...

And Timber is off to dreamland with his Eeyore.

 

Timber has an Eeyore attitude and that's why he has the Eeyore doggie toy.

He really doesn't play with toys too much anymore,

but the rest of the dogs in the pack know not to mess with

the Eeyore doggie toy that belongs to Timber.

I just thought this was so sweet today.

What?  The vet told me I had to take it easy after

my surgery.

So, I am following the doctor's orders.

What's for dinner tonight?

As you can see the huskies grandparents were over for dinner tonight.

And grandpa was prime pickins' for any leftovers.

 

 And, no we didn't get a 6th husky today.

The dark red and white is cousin, Kodah who belongs to my parents.

 

As you can see Queen Nala, is front and center to grandpa,

saying "I get first dibs on the leftovers since I am the alpha here."

I just love how attentive they are for food when other times during the day

they could careless about listening to me.

It was a nice cool evening for a walk around our 20 acres.

 Its so nice to see our Timber out and about with us for the walk.

We believe he is around 13 or14years old.

He is a great rescue with a great big soul.

 

 Boo had to stop and check out what was in the weeds.

Timber keeps on truckin' along.

 Nala is getting closer, but as you can see she is reevaluating

the situation.

 Miss Ariel had to take a little rest on the walk too.

 

And as you can see in the pictures tonight of Chip, his purple bandages are

off and he is doing really good.

We made him sleep with the cone on during the night, but he has been so

good today without it.

Chip's big day at the vet's office...

Chip got fixed today at 6 months old

and

he had a slight deformity on his hind legs,

where he had dewclaws,

the vet removed them as well.

So, that's why he has the purple wraps on his back legs.

They are not a fashion statement.

 

 The vet said 10days with the cone on.

I hope we can get it to last that long with him.

 

So, we tried the t-shirt for a bit tonight to keep him from bothering

his stitches, which seems to work while we can keep

an eye on him.

Timber understands the whole cone thing and sympathizes with his

little brother, Chip.

 



 Boo also knows the whole cone wearing thing all too well.

 

Chip with his monkey that mommy and daddy got him

for being a big boy today.

He is in good spirits.

 

So, make sure you spay or neuter your animals so,

they are happy and healthy for a very long time.

 

Sorry, we didn't do a blog last night,

we had some computer issues,but

its all good now.



Look at what Boo had for breakfast...

What I like picking my own ear of corn.

 

It's yummy and yes I husked it all by myself.

 

I like this special treat I found in the farmers field next door this morning.

 

Well, ok ma if I must eat my breakfast I will.

 

The farmer next door plants corn every other year in the field.

I still remember the first time Boo came home with an ear of corn for herself.

She was so proud of it and it amazes me she knows how to husk it.



A Beautiful Moment in time...

 

 Nala was chasing the butterfly in our yard and then it landed on

mommy's butterfly bush, so Nala took a moment to say hi to the butterfly.

 

 I just thought this moment was so dear.

I have always felt when we see a butterfly its a spirit coming to say hi to us.

And off  flew the beautiful, spirited butterfly.

Guess where the huskies went today?

They got to go to their doggie friend, Apollo's 5th birthday party!

 

Well, the girls and Chip went to the party.

Timber stayed home to relax.

The huskies loved it all!

getting engaged yesterday.
