A Patriotic Pooch Parade...

I took Bree and Chip to the Pittsford Farmer's Market Patriotic Pooch Parade on Thursday evening.

Bree was a little sailor girl and Chip was Mr. Independent.

Here we are in line for the parade.

Mr. Independent sticking his tongue out at his mommy.
Love my boy!

Bree taking a break.

It was a fun time with them.  Bree did really good with all the dogs, kids and people at the farmer's market. It was her first time being out in public with lots of things going on.  She wasn't sure of the band playing at the market.

Remembering Timber's Gotcha Day!

Yesterday(July 4th)would have been 10 years from the day we got Timber.
I will never forget that day.  We were home celebrating the 4th of July with family. At that time we only had 3huskies, Nala, Boo and Oreo.  A friend of my husband's family called us several times about a husky wandering a main highway.  A lady took him in for the weekend, but couldn't keep him because she had dogs of her own.  So, I finally got ahold of a friend who did rescue back then and she said take him as long as we could foster him.  And so we did and he adopted our hearts forever(I still cry about it as I write this).  He was the greatest rescue dog we ever had! I miss him very much this weekend.  He always had the best birthday parties!  I always went all out for him because I knew the beginning of his life was a rough one of abuse and neglect. He was a big teddy bear, our Bubba.

So, we celebrated with cookies from Pupcake Pooch Parties and a PetGiftBox.com.
Bree got the best seat she could for cookies.

Boo deciding what cookie she wants?

Chip wants the big star because he is a big star.

Everyone checking out the box of goodies!
