Ariel of the Artic is a very special girl to our family and so, is Timber of the Woodlands.
It will be 2years ago the night before Thanksgiving, I went and picked Ariel up at Lollypop Farm, in Victor, NY.
A few weeks prior to picking her up we went and had holiday photos done with the dogs and it was a fundraising event for a local rescue called Rescued Treasures.
Before we left the event one of the volunteers asked if we would help them, foster a husky they just got a call on.
And of course, I said yes, we would help her out.
So, we filled out the paperwork to become a foster home for the group, they came did the house check and all was good.
So, when we got the green light to pick her up, I took Nala and Boo with me to make sure all the girls got along before heading home.
Nala and Boo acted as if it were playgroup.
Little Ariel was so scared she tinkled when they brought her into the meet and greet room.
So, they got along and we loaded her into the car with us and on the way home that night I felt an angel told me our pack was complete now.
About 2 weeks later Rescued Treasures emailed me to write a bio and send pictures to put her up for adoption. I told my husband he had to write it, I couldn't do it. I had fallen in love with Ariel.
So, we told Rescued Treasures we wanted to adopt her and that was my Christmas present that year.
So, this years Siberian Husky Club of America show was in Midland, MI.
And so, we went for the Rescue Parade for Ariel and Timber.
It was a wonderful time for her and I. We made new friends too.

This is Randee McQueen who organized the rescue parade with mommy and Ariel.
Thank you Randee for all your efforts in making the rescue parade a success!

This is our friend, Tony and his husky, Chula at the parade.
Tony is the president of the Seneca Siberian husky club that we belong too.
Here are some more photos of the other Siberian husky rescues in the parade.
Roxie was dumped due to juvenile cataracts and is blind, but she is doing wonderful with her Sibe sibling at home.
So, many of the stories bring tears to everyone.
This husky had a rough start in life, but is doing great.
Many of the huskies here had a rough start in life, but ended up having great lives.
I would love all animals to be this fortunate.
Some of the rescues are also therapy dogs.
Others are just pets and some do agility too.
This friend of ours, her husky crossed the rainbow bridge about a month ago, but she still came with a picture.
Afterwards the doggies and people all got to socialize at the pizza party!
Ariel got to meet another 5 pack of Sibes, like ours.

And here is Timber's story of how he came to us. 8years ago on the 4th of July we got a call from a friend who thought we had lost one of our huskies. We said no, they are all home. She called several more times throughout the day and after we were done with our 4th of July picnic I called my friend from Huskysavers to see if we could help this husky out.
A kind lady in the Hemlock, NY area had taken him in for the weekend to feed him, but she couldn't keep him because she already had her own dogs. It was very kind of her to do so and just about a year ago I saw her out front of her house and stopped to let her know how well Timber was still doing. I wish we had more kind hearts in this world.
So, my friend from Huskysavers said take him if you can foster, so we did. On the way home, I told Timber he had a home with me, it was the big guy he had to soften up.
He sure did by that fall we adopted him. His doggie bed since then has been by daddy's recliner.
So, please adopt or foster to make this place a better world for the animals.
