A Flood Day, Not a Snow Day...

Hi, everyone!
School was closed out here today due to flooding in our area, not snow.
Could you imagine how much snow we would have had?!
I am going to share some of the  photos that I took in our corner of the town where we live.  I couldn't go all the way into town because all the roads are a mess according to what my husband called to tell me.  He works for the highway dept. and has been out since real early this morning.

This is what our neighbors creek looked like in their pasture lot for their horses and cows this morning.

Here on our road the creek went over the road this morning.

A closer view of our road.

The end of our driveway.

Yes, we had to go to the vet today with Shaboo.
She got stung in the right eye area last night.  We gave her benadryl for the night.
And it was still swollen this morning and basically the vet told us to continue the antihistamine for up to another 48 hours.
Anyways, this was the front yard at the vet's office this morning.

Another angle of the yard at the vet's office.

The bridge at the vet's office.
The water can't go through fast enough.

This was the backyard of the house next to the vet's office.

After we left the vet's office I took Boo for a ride.  Her favorite thing in the world to do.
This was the road that runs behind our house into town.
This is a creek that has washed out driveways on this road.

Another view of the water flowing along.

As you can see the water just moving across the driveways.

This is the water from the creek from the previous picture, going over the road to the neighbors driveway across the road.

This photo is the flats of Honeoye, NY.
That really is a farm field just flooded with water.

This is a county road in our town and that's one of the county workers out dealing with the water.

It's going to be a long day for these guys out working with only a broom to push the water back.
I am sure all the other equipment is out being used on worse areas in the town.

No, this is not a new lake in town.
It really is a farm field just totally flooded out.

The huskies and I are fine.  We are safe and dry.
It is amazing what happened over night here.  I have lived here now for 13 years and its never been this bad.
Honeoye, Naples and Penn Yan schools were closed today due to the road conditions.
We hope everyone else is safe too!

Playtime!

No, we did not adopt a black lab.
He belongs to the husky's dad's mom.
His name is Trotter.
Here Chip is showing him his new pool.

Queen Nala has come to check the scene out to make sure its safe.

It was neat to see Queen Nala be protective of her little, annoying brother,Chip.
It was nice to see how much she really does love him even after all the antics he plays around here.

Gotta love Boo going from one pool to the next.

Ok, we are off and running says Chip.

I love Chip in this picture kicking his legs up and having fun!

Ariel, Trotter and Chip playing.

Chip had to do a pipe inspection.

Hay, I am working here.  Don't bother me, says Chip.

Again the Queen comes in to check the scene out.

I am only telling you one more time to leave my pack alone, says Nala.

Ariel also had to do a pipe inspection.
They go there for the water.  They are silly.  They have clean drinking water on the deck, but the pipe water must be better.

Pool time again!

Boo is getting back into the little pool.  She is our little pork chop and its so cute to see her getting in the smaller pool.
And as you can see Chip is sticking his tongue out at Trotter as if to tell him this is my pool only!
My mommy bought it for me!

Alright, I will share with you, says Chip.

Boo, Chip, Trotter and Ariel in the pool area cooling off again after all the running around and playing they did.
Trotter's mommy said he slept really good that night.

Wonder What Happened Here?

Hmmm...Wonder Who's Crafty work is this?

If they could only learn to dig holes when I wanted them too and where I needed them.

Ahhh...that was a hard days work.  Now I must lounge, says Chip.
Can you tell who did it now?!
Gotta love him!
He makes me laugh and I love him for that.

Happy Mother's Day!

Chip and Kodah have to see what grandma got for Mother's day.

All the huskies circle grandma on Mother's day to show their love to her.

Ariel enjoying an ear rub from grandma.

And grandma with her husky, Kodah on Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's day to everyone!

Birthday Girl Ariel got a surprise in the mail this week!

Ariel got a box of goodies from Auntie Dorothy and the FiveSibes!

She got this cute pink piggy toy.

Along with some yummy treats!

Ariel got the first sniff of her treats.
And as you can see Mr. Chip had to get in on the action too.

Chip licks his lips for a treat.

Boo had to get in on the treats too!

Ariel got the first treat of banana and yogurt bars.
They were a hit!  Even Queen Nala also known as Ms. Picky loved them!
Thanks so much for the goodies and thinking of Ariel on her 4th birthday!
Hugs to Auntie Dorothy and the FiveSibes.

Somebody got a big boy pool, guess who?

Yes, that would be me, Chip!

I just love to splash the water around.

I also like when mommy holds the hose and I can drink out of it.

Wow, that's amazing!

I have to do more splashing around.

I could spend hours splashing around in here.

Come on in Ariel, its great!

Watch me splash around!

No, thanks little brother. Not my idea of fun.
