Today Timber is at peace and running free with Oreo now.
These were some of the more recent photos of him this fall.
I love how he looks to be hugging the pumpkin.
He always had his tongue out and he slept that way too.
This picture was yesterday when we got home from the vet's office.
I put everything down that I was doing to get this beautiful photo of him.
This was him cuddling with Boo last night.
She was so sweet with him. She usually doesn't like to be close to others while sleeping, but we believe she knew he needed to be near her.
As you can see here he was panting.
The 2 seizures he had earlier in the week took the wind out of him to the point he didn't recognize us anymore and we knew this was coming, but you are never prepared enough for it.
We took him this morning to the vet's office and brought him home to be next to Oreo.
Here Chip sits behind where Timber rest.
Its amazing how a pack knows what is happening and what has happened.
Mike had to find the biggest rock to mark the spot.
We would like to thank everyone that has sent us well wishes, positive thoughts and prayers for our dear boy, Timber.
I was so amazed at Dorothy's Facebook page from FiveSibes for the pawcircle of prayer today and all the wonderful people around the world that were so thoughtful.
We are so blessed by all the kindness from all of you along with being blessed to have had Timber in our lives.
He's was the greatest rescue dog ever!
9 years ago on the 4th of July Mike got a call from a friend in Hemlock,NY and wanted to know if we were missing one(at that time we only had 3huskies) and Mike said no they are all home. She kept calling and I got ahold of a friend that did husky rescue in the Rochester,NY area and we agreed we would foster him for the rescue. I remember picking him up from the lady's house who took him in for the weekend to keep him safe and feed him and I told him on the way home he had a home with me, it was the big guy, Mike he had to work on. Timber was smart he knew what I had told him and from that day on he sat next to daddy's recliner.
We believe he was about 14.
In the spring he started having seizures and the vet had told us mostly likely at his age it was a brain tumor. So, he had seizures about 6 weeks apart, then 2 weeks apart and the last one was Sept.3rd and I thought we were doing great, then this past Monday and Tues. came he had them both days and countless focal seizures. I took him to the vet yesterday. I had bloodwork done for I feel my own sake that we had done everything possible. The bloodwork came back great and they told me it was neurological and in the spine. I called Mike and he wanted him to come home, so he did. Last night he was having a harder time standing, running into walls, and not recognizing us at all. We knew it was time and now he's at peace and running free again.
Thank you to all of you and to our beautiful boy for 9 wonderful years.
I love you Bubba!
(that was one of his nicknames, I will miss that)

Such a beautiful boy...we will miss him. Sending you big hugs and woos from Timber's "cousins." Run free, beautiful boy...Oreo is waiting for you. We did a little tribute for him, and I'm sending you a big hug. The photo of Chip laying by his spot made me cry! They are so intuitive. Hugs to you, my dear friend. xo
