Hi, everyone it's Timber here!
I am doing better and a lot of resting from the other day.
I want to thank you all for the kind words and prayers for me.
I will let mom take over from here and she can tell you what the vet said.
I had called the vet's office to let them put a note in Timber's file about his seizure.
Our vet called me last night about it.
She feels due to his age and the last one was about 6weeks ago most likely its a brain tumor, but obviously we don't know for sure unless we have an MRI done(which is very expensive for us).
We just want him to be comfortable.
Our vet doesn't feel its K-9 epilepsy since that usually occurs in much younger dogs then Timber(who is around 14).
I did ask our vet about his thyroid condition if that could be throwing him into these seizures.
So, to be on the safe side we scheduled a brief appointment next week with the vet tech for bloodwork on his thyroid to rule that out.
We don't think that's the cause because his weight and other things are holding steady with being on the thyroid meds for over 6months now.
Our vet did say if he continues to have the seizures we might have to really think about putting him on the meds for seizures to help lessen them. But they won't completely stop them if its a brain tumor.
We know he is an older guy, but I guess no matter how many times you tell yourself that, its still hard when the vet breaks it down of what's happening.
I am sure many of you can understand and relate to it all.
And I want to thank all of you for your kindness and understanding!
It's great to know there are still great people in this world!
Big hugs to you all from Holly and the huskies!
We hope timber doesn't have any more visits from the monster. All pws crossed for Timber.
