The huskies are wishing for this...
It's been so hot & humid here in the Finger Lakes area of NY
that the huskies are wishing for a pile of snow like this one again.
We haven't had a snow like that since, maybe this winter?
As you can see that was taken in Feb. of 2004 and we only had 3 Sibes then, Nala, Boo and our furangel, Oreo.

Happy Birthday America and Happy Birthday to our boy, Timber!

We took Timber in, off the streets on the 4th of July 8years ago where he suffered abuse &neglect. He started off as a foster to us,but I remember telling him on our way home that he had a home with me, it was the big guy at home he had to butter up too. Well, he sure did and now he is like Velcro to his daddy. Timber is not the typical husky, he is very calm and mellow. Yes, I said calm and mellow, which we all know as Sibe owners is not a typical trait. I always say I could take 10 of him because he is so laid back. We believe he is around 13years old. He still gets around pretty good,even with a little rear end arthritis. Timber is a very dear boy and loved by many. I know he melts me with his big brown eyes.
We hope to have many more birthdays for Timber!

Pet Safety Tips
More pets get lost on July 4th than any other day of the year.
1.Be sure your dog is wearing an up to date and visible ID tag on their collar at all times.
2.Take a current photo of your dog, just in case!
3.Exercise your dog early in the day before parties begin.
4.During cookouts, ask guests to play with your dog away from the flames.
5.Keep charcoal, fireworks, sparklers and glow sticks far from curious canines.
6.Keep dog treats on hand for those who want to give your dog food.
7.Leave your dog at home with a frozen stuffed treat during the fireworks.
8.If your dog is afraid of loud noises, leave gentle music playing to cover the fireworks.

Rainy day wrestling
Everyday lately seems like a rainy day here in Finger Lakes area of NY.
So, with the Sibes being couped up lately, Ariel and Chip will share with you their wrestling moves.
Don't try this at home,unless your a Siberian husky.
